New GB Light - Increased JWN Membership?

i'm relatively new here.

this is a question to admin / longer members.. have you noticed a greater influx of membership here since the 'new lighttm' regarding the 'governing body' was revealed?.

I agree with thinkaboutit -

we've been so brainwashed into equating "apostate" websites with Beelzebub himself that most Witnesses would never dream of visiting JWN. Simply because we've been pressured to believe for years that we can't and shouldn't reason for ourselves, and that whatever faith and knowledge we have, will not be able to stand up against "apostate" thinking!

I remember a few years ago, I accidentally clicked on JW.NET instead of JW.ORG. I couldn't shut the site off quick enough!! Wish I knew then........................

New F&DS Light question

i have a question about the implications of the new light regarding the f&ds.

sorry if it sounds complicated, i'm not good at explaining things.. .

if the f&ds is now just the few brothers who get together to dispense the food at the proper time, and the f&ds will be appointed over all of christ's belongings, then does that mean they will be appointed above the rest of the 144,000 when they go to heaven?

A fact to keep in mind (which most of our brothers & sisters are totally oblivious of) is this;

The "food at the proper time" is not produced by the GB (aka FDS); it is produced by 'earthly-hoper' brothers who have been selected (apparently) for their 'Organisation' mentality and writing skills. In other words, Bethel elders who don't claim to be of the 144,000.

It's a bit like going to a world-class chef's restaurant to try one of his renowned specialities, and having eaten it, loved it, and paid $400 for it, you discover that he supervised as his trainee chef prepared it all for you! Not quite what you expected, eh?

Thanks for your detailed research. It serves to further nail the falsehood perpetuated that only "natural" Israelites were party to the Law Covenant.

At Mount Sinai, the Bible account tells us that all of the people agreed to be party to the Covenant mediated by Moses. The vast mixed crowd who followed the Israelites out of Egypt were not segregated so that a vote could taken by "natural" Israelites.

Rememember 9/11? Ecclesiastes 9/11!! = "Time and unforseen occurrence befall us all."

I cringe when brothers attribute a happy outcome to some event as Jehovah's handiwork. How arrogant of them to think that God Almighty intervened to ensure that they got a new job/house/car, but did nothing to prevent faithful old sister Smith being mugged!!

Members of every religion and none, experience fortuitous circumstances at some point in their lives, so who gets the credit for all of them?

Follow their example by asking yourself questions, such as;

1. I'm counselled and direct by the Organisation to go out in Field Service as often as I can, to discuss my Bible-based beliefs with people who are in "false" religions, so why does the same Organisation prohibit me from doing the exact same thing with my brothers & sisters? (Kingdom Ministry - Sept. 2007 - Question Box, p.3)

2. If "all Scripture is inspired by God", why does the Insight Book 2 p. 130 state " Luke’s presentation of this incident evidently is not in strict chronological order" - thereby discrediting Luke's inspired opening statement at Luke 1:1-4, where he states that although many had compiled facts about Jesus and his ministry, he (Luke) had done so with accuracy, and in logical order!

3. If "alien residents" could not become participants (only beneficiaries) of the Law Covenant because they were not "natural Israelites", then why were Rahab and Ruth (both pagan worshippers) assimilated into God's nation and allowed to corrupt the Messianic lineage?

And finally, the simplest and easiest question/s which actually demand 3 answers -

4. Where in the Bible does it -

a) mention "new" scrolls? (Revelation 20:12a) Are they "new"?

b) What will these scrolls be used for? (Revelation 20:12b) For wonderful new teachings?

c) When will these scrolls actually be opened? (Revelation 20:7-10) During Christ's 1000 year reign?

Do as the apostle John was inspired to write - "test the inspired expressions, to see if they originate with God."

Does JW.org explain why Jesus Return in 1874 was changed?

in "god's eternal purpose now triumphing for man's good", they explain that the inclusion of the extra 100 years in bible chronology moved 6 000 years of human history back to 1975.. they never explain why christ's enthronment wasnt also moved to 1975 from 1874.. now they have said that "christ did not return (even invisibly) in 1914" (proclaimers book) it is evident that they are paving the way to ditch 1914.. if the inspection of 1919 no longer applies to their appointment as the slave what is to stop them moving christ's enthronment from 1914 to 1975. all those who left then would be the "evil slave" - only serving for a date, and thinking the master is delaying.. just putting this out there to see what you think.. hb.

"Brother, do you believe that all Scripture is inspired by God? If so, do you believe as the Insight book says, that the Bible writer Luke got it wrong big-time when he wrote about the New Covenant participants?

I know this is a separate & private discussion, but as an brother myself, (despite discovering numerous falsehoods) I must ask you to defend (if you dare) two blatant lies perpetuated by our self-appointed "divinely inspired" GB.

Firstly, please read Revelation 20:1-12, then try and convince someone (anyone!) that it speaks of "new" scrolls which will be opened during Christ's 1000 year reign, and that they will consist of "new instructions" for inhabitants of the New World!

Three demonic expressions applied to an explanation of Revelation 20:12 - nothing less!! And yet, if I highlighted these corrupt teachings of the WTBTS, I would be putting myself at serious risk, and you know that!

Secondly, the false doctrine that alien residents were not included in the Law Covenant because they were not natural Israelites.

Based on that teaching, ask any of your brothers or sisters (especially elders!!) why was Ruth allowed to become part of Christ's lineage when she was a born and bred Mobitess????? Surely she corrupted the line of Judah????

Test the inspired expressions for yourself, and don't put your faith in princes or the sons of men!!

we are only a few short months into the "no more announcements - let them read the notice board" at the meetings, and now the effects of that new directive are beginning to reveal themselves: no information being given out regarding someone's loss of a relative, no information about someone who is ill or been admitted to hospital, and definitely no information about families moving out of the area and going to other congregations!!.

however, announcements about "special" christmas day field service must be made!!.

the import of the apostle paul's words really seem to have gone over the "decision-makers'" heads - (galatians 6:10) really, then, as long as we have time favorable for it, let us work what is good toward all, but especially toward those related to [us] in the faith.. coupled with the removal of the weekly group book study, the detrimental consequences of eliminating fellow-feeling and closer contact with one another can only lead to one eventuality - alienating one another!.
